Aftercare
Tattoos (1 to 2 weeks healing time)
Leave bandage on for a minimum of 2 hours. With bandage off, rinse your tattoo under warm water to clean off any dried blood. Gently pat dry. Once dried apply a small amount of a topical anti-biotic ointment, not to be confused with a cream. This includes products such as Polysporin, Bacitracin, etc…
Continue this process twice daily for 3 to 7 days while the tattoo is healing. This simply helps to guard against infection. Always follow the instructions on the label of your chosen product because not all products will be right for you.
Things to avoid
Direct sunlight, hot tubs, chlorinated water, soaking, scratching, picking and rubbing. All of these things may cause damage to the tattoo itself and make the healing process much more difficult. If you're experiencing a lot of itching try lightly slapping the tattoo.

Body Piercings (4 to 6 weeks healing time)
Clean your piercings twice daily using a fragrance and dye-free soap, such as Dial, or a soft soap, such as Spectro-Derm. Allow warm water to soften any scabbing or dried blood to soften and come off, then work the soaped jewellry back and forth through the piercings several times.
Remember, as an example, if you work the soaped jewellry back and forth 10 times you should do it twice as much with just water to insure all soap is out of the piercing. Apply a small amount of a topical anti-botic ointment to the dried piercing and work this into the piercing for 3 to 7 days.

Oral Piercings
Rinse with a non-alcoholic mouthwash or water down Listerine at a ratio of 2:1 to help prevent your mouth and piercing from drying out too much. After smoking, eating or drinking anything other than water you should, ideally, rinse your mouth, especially when it comes to tongue piercings.
Things to avoid
Alcholic beverages can cause serious inflammation to oral piercings. It's recommended you lay off drinking for the 4 to 6 weeks of healing for a typical oral piercing.
